Wintering Body, Restful Mind, Reverent Soul: A Virtual Cold Weather Retreat
Wintering: A Guided Five-Week Experience for the Body, Mind, and Soul
A small, therapist-led virtual retreat for those moving through winter with tenderness, fatigue, grief, or quiet overwhelm
Winter is not a problem to fix.
It is a season to be met with care.
This five-week virtual retreat is for those who feel slowed down, emotionally tender, isolated, or worn thin during the winter months and are craving a steadier way to move through this season rather than pushing against it.
Inspired by Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May, this experience offers guided structure, gentle practices, and meaningful connection to support you in relating to winter differently, not as something to endure, but as something that can be navigated with intention and care.
This is not therapy.
It is not a class you need to perform in.
It is a facilitated, reflective space designed to help you listen to what winter is asking of you and respond with compassion.
What This Experience Offers
Over five weeks, you will be guided through a seasonal rhythm that supports:
Nervous system settling and embodied awareness
Emotional permission for rest, grief, and quiet reflection
Gentle reconnection to meaning, creativity, and inner resources
A sense of steadiness and companionship during a season that often feels isolating
Each gathering includes guided reflection, optional sharing, gentle practices, and time to integrate what you are noticing in yourself and in your winter experience.
You are always welcome to participate at your own pace. Sharing is invited, never required.
The Arc of the Retreat
Week 1: Arriving in Winter
We establish the container, explore personal experiences of seasonal change, and introduce the concept of wintering as a valid and necessary rhythm of life.
Week 2: Wintering the Body
A somatic focus on fatigue, energy conservation, and physical slowing. Gentle movement and reflection support listening to the body’s winter needs.
Week 3: Restful Mind
Practices to soften inner pressure, quiet self-criticism, and allow emotions to be present without needing to resolve or fix them.
Week 4: Reverent Soul
Exploration of meaning, inner life, and creative expression. Participants are invited to create a small sanctity space at home to support ongoing winter reflection.
Week 5: Integration and Closing
Reflection on what has shifted, what is being carried forward, and how to continue wintering with intention as the season unfolds toward spring.
Community and Care
This retreat is intentionally limited to 12 participants to preserve a sense of safety, intimacy, and ease. The space is held by experienced, trauma-informed facilitators who guide with respect, clarity, and warmth.
You will be welcomed exactly as you are.
