Everyone has different life experiences that have shaped their feelings and responses. Your thoughts and feelings make sense, given these life experiences. For this reason, I practice integrative psychotherapy. I adapt the therapy experience to your individual needs by utilizing multiple interventions and paying attention to the mind, body, and spirit.

Much of our sessions will consist of talking one-on-one. A powerful process of insight and self-compassion occurs when verbalizing thoughts and feelings to another person in a confidential space. During our sessions, we may also utilize tools such as art, guided meditation, visualization, sand tray, prompted writing, or breathwork. I will guide you in observing and verbalizing your emotions, thought patterns, and physical sensations. We will explore your relationships with others as well as your relationship with yourself. You will set the pace of therapy, and together, we will gain insight and find the path to your healing.

My experience in the field of mental health has been in a variety of settings since 2005. I started this practice in 2014 with the hopes of creating a space for members of our community to find deep healing and connection with themselves. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the states of WV, PA, MD, VA, and WA. I am an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC) in West Virginia. I received both my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from West Virginia University.

I am also an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist, having completed Level 3 training through the IFS Institute. IFS is a non-pathologizing, client-led approach that I have found to be a powerful tool both professionally and personally. IFS shows us that all “symptoms” make sense given your experience and provides a path to deep and lasting healing.
