Fees and Insurance

Services may be covered in part or in full by your health insurance plan. Please review the information below before beginning services.

In-Network Providers

Thomas Integrative Psychotherapy is in network with:

It is always best to contact your health insurance company about coverage before your first appointment. It is your responsibility to understand your insurance benefits.

Out-of-Network Courtesy Billing

For clients with out-of-network insurance plans, Thomas Integrative Psychotherapy is happy to submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf as a courtesy.

Your insurance company will then send a notification or payment to you based on the benefits and reimbursement terms outlined in your policy.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Provider

The following questions may be helpful when contacting your insurance company:

  • Do I have outpatient mental health coverage?
  • What is my deductible for individual, family, and out-of-network services?
  • How much of my deductible has already been met?
  • Do I have a co-pay or co-insurance ?
  • How many psychotherapy sessions are covered each year?
  • Do I need prior authorization for mental health or out-of-network benefits?
  • Are both in-person and teletherapy sessions covered?

Forms of Payment

For session payments, co-payments, and deductible payments, we accept cash, check, or credit/debit cards at the time of the session.

All major credit cards are accepted.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel or reschedule a session, please provide 24 hours’ notice.

Missed sessions and cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $60 cancellation fee due at the time of the missed appointment.

Self-Pay Option

Paying out of pocket provides greater flexibility in the length of therapy sessions and the overall duration of treatment.

The self-pay option also eliminates the need for an insurance diagnosis. Insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to process and reimburse psychotherapy claims.
